We have two new kittens, Nikki and Nellie. We got them at 11 weeks old on Saturday, August 26, 2000. They are both female torties. They came from a Pals foster home. They were in a litter of 4 kittens, where Nellie was the littlest one of the family. We tried to keep them separate from the "boys" (Pete and Max), but we finally had to give up. Max has pretty much tried to ignore the girls and all their activity, but Pete has been delighted to have two friends with whom to play and has been been romping and racing like a fool. He has been grooming and groomed by them both. Now we have two girls and two boys again.

Nikki is friendly and outgoing. She is affectionate and cocky and has dominated the house in no time. She loves to be petted and cuddled. She is not afraid of much, especially the boys. She is veryy noisy and demanding, but cute enough to get away with it.

Nellie is more reserved and is cautious about everything, but Pete, who is her special friend. . She loves to play and, although she is much smaller than her sister, has fun attacking her and is smart enough to win most often.

It is nice to have kittens in the house again. Everything is a toy. Their little teeth and claws are into everything, including us. It will be great when we can sleep through the night without kittens purring in our ears and licking and nipping our faces and fingers.

Below are some pictures of the kittens:
